The Risk Workstation is the unified Brokerage platform that enables Credit, Market, Collateral and Capital Markets Risk management. It is a real-time risk system that is fully integrated with Fidelity’s trading systems and mainframe. Each day, it supports the risk management of hundreds of billions of dollars in margin loans, shorts, trading, and clearing and settlement activities for millions of customers and millions of transactions.

Role Overview

As the head of Program Management (PM) for RWS you will help lead multiple strategic programs covering both new product development and modernization initiatives. The role requires an experienced risk and technology program manager who can orchestrate complex cross‑functional deliveries, drive an effective engagement model, and ensure predictable, high‑quality execution. You will mentor project managers, lead governance routines, and communicate progress and risks with clarity to senior leadership.

The PM will partner closely with Product leads to define strategies and roadmaps and align funding and resources. You will oversee integrated planning, dependency management, and coordinated delivery across stakeholders including Engineering, Risk and the Business. The PM maintains strong program governance through executive‑ready reporting, structured risk and issue management, and disciplined quarterly and annual planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive end‑to‑end delivery of multi‑year business and modernization initiatives.

  • Provide vision, guidance, and support to engineering teams and cross‑functional partners.

  • Partner closely with Technology, Risk Management and the business to ensure clear requirements and expectations.

  • Transform business requirements into actionable road maps aligned with RWS and firmwide strategy.

  • Engage regularly with senior management to communicate strategy, progress, and risks.

  • Manage multiple high‑impact programs, ensuring coordinated and timely execution.

  • Champion best practices for governance routines, transparency and communication.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years leading large-scale, multi‑year programs within FinTech, capital markets, or risk technology.

  • Strong understanding of modern SDLC, agile at scale, dependency management, and multi‑workstream integration.

  • Proven ability to negotiate complex trade‑offs, drive alignment, and influence across organizations.

  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with risk platforms, cloud-native architectures, data platforms, regulatory frameworks, or global delivery models.

The Team

The Risk Workstation (RWS) Product Development team is responsible for the development, maintenance and evolution of the RWS platform. RWS is a highly integrated real-time risk platform that supports multiple risk organizations as well as several critical business functions. The team is organized by product heads who are each responsible for their respective risk or functional domain: Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk, Collateral Risk, Capital Market Risk. The team works hand-in-hand with the Risk heads and the Technology organization to drive the efficient, scalable, and modern evolution of the risk platform.

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$222,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
