Director of Quality Assurance

Fidelity Investments has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Quality Assurance in the Health Care Technology Group. This is a key role within the quality organization supporting the new health & welfare record keeping platform. This individual will serve in a multifaceted function working in close collaboration with business partners, Architects and Agile delivery teams to improve/re-design existing testing automaton tools and framework to support product delivery. This role will further require the person to apply analytical and business skills to identify opportunities for end-to-end process improvement across all phases of testing to achieve efficiency and superior product quality.

The Health Care Technology Group delivers innovative and cutting-edge digital solutions to help Fidelity’s clients and participants meet their healthcare needs. The new H&W record keeping system is built for massive scale using the latest technology and has attracted significant market interest. We are adopting DevOps and Agile delivery model, and Quality Assurance organization plays a significant role shifting left to make sure product are built with the highest standard of quality and customer satisfaction.

The Expertise You Have

  • Demonstrated leadership capability working across diverse teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • 15+ years industry experience of software engineering and quality assurance
  • BS degree in computer science or an engineering field preferred and relevant work experience in healthcare space desired.
  • Proven track record of working on complex software testing projects and expertise in test automation tools and engineering best practices.

  • You have architecture insight and can design software and tests that are reusable, maintainable, and scalable.
  • You have practical experience and competency of programming languages Java, Python, and SQL.
  • You are passionate about testing, product quality, customer experience and efficiency.
  • You are motivated and enjoy working in fast paced agile environment.

The Value You Deliver

  • You will work with Agile delivery teams (including business analysts and architects) to evaluate existing test automation backlog and implement concreate plans of execution to reduce those backlog items.
  • You will work with Quality COE team and evaluate test automation tools and frameworks the teams use and implement a plan to reduce testing cycle time significantly and increase test coverage transparency.
  • You will partner with business teams to investigate opportunities for collaboration and holistic approach to testing for efficiency gains and maximum coverage.
