Director, SAI Platform Management

The Role

The Director of Platform Management will work closely with the SAI Investment Management, Trading, Operations, Data, Product and Technology teams supporting and directing a range of projects with diverse scope and complexity. In this dynamic role, this individual will ensure the requirements of SAI are articulated and delivered and will manage the delivery and roll-out of new products, infrastructure changes and new services/capabilities.

To be successful, candidates must have an ability to identify and articulate issues; analyze and resolve problems; track all aspects of a multi-month Platform (requirements/testing/transition), and communicate effectively with many levels of Investment Services, Investment Management, Product, and Technology

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships at multiple levels with key internal and cross company business partners, serving as an advocate for SAI throughout the organization

  • Lead comprehensive, end-to-end scale program to identify, forecast, and mitigate operational and infrastructure challenges within SAI and its partner ecosystem. Accountable for tracking and guiding multi-year strategic initiatives focused on scale across SAI and our business partners.

  • Coordinate with technology and business partners (SAT, FCM, Bloomberg, etc.) and the Head of SAI Trading to develop and refine the SAI trading infrastructure vision, roadmap, and priorities.

  • Serve as primary Platform management lead for initiatives in the Trading space.

  • Drive critical initiatives from analysis/design phase through requirements gathering, development, testing and implementation

  • Oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with SAI’s requirements, quality standards, and timely decision-making

  • Monitor progress across projects, managing deadlines, budgets, risks, and resources effectively

  • Ensure clear and consistent reporting to stakeholders through appropriate management communications

  • Resolve escalated issues and ensure smooth execution at all phases of an initiative

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 7+ years working experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Broad-based investment industry experience and proven analytical skills; systems development projects, business analysis and systems analysis

  • Experience with equity trading infrastructure including Execution Management Platforms, FIX protocol, settlement, and allocation environments.

  • Experience in Asset Management or with managed accounts preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; ability to produce executive-level PowerPoint presentations and manipulate data using Excel

  • Proven relationship management and strong communications skills

  • Ability to coach and mentor associates of varied experience and diverse backgrounds

  • Strong team orientation; commitment to excellence; attention to detail

  • History of successfully leading transformation initiatives, translating strategies into specific goals, action plans and deliverables.

SAI is a rapidly growing organization, currently managing over $1T in assets across 3.6M client accounts.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
