The Role

As an Experience Engineering Chapter Leader, we partner with the Enterprise Digital Capabilities Product Area, combining extensive Software Engineering expertise with a dedication to coaching, mentoring, and developing team members! We lead our associates to build innovative enterprise solutions ensuring outstanding digital experiences for customers in a reusable, scalable, and efficient manner! We work closely with collaborators to identify capability needs and develop integrated roadmaps to drive our initiatives to completion. Our dedication to improving customer value involves collaborating with partners to set standards for the chapter, influencing strategic decisions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

  • Set technical direction for the engineering team and help define architectural standards in partnership with product owners and architecture across the enterprise to address customer needs
  • Solve sophisticated business problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive, and iterative delivery environment
  • Provide direct management, coaching, and mentoring for a growing engineering team, with a specific focus on career development
  • An advocate of engineering as a craft and promoter of improving standards and quality
  • Experience planning development of team capabilities; identifying and acquiring strategic talent needs
  • Experience resource planning and talent allocation across large organizations

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in deploying and supporting large scale technical solutions that impact millions
  • Champions standard practices and capability development across the squad in areas such as Quality, Automation, DevOps, CI/CD, Design, and Code Reviews
  • Mobile development experience, i.e. Native Android and iOS (Preferred, not required)
  • Inspirational people leader, capable of developing others to achieve their potential
  • Outstanding critical thinking and analytical skills, possessing the ability to quickly understand complex systems and their associated data
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with which you build and maintain strong multi-functional partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to work across numerous squads and pragmatically balance business and technology demands
  • Have a continuous improvement mentality
  • Effectively develop and proactively share your knowledge and perspectives and build the same expectation within your chapter
  • Intellectually curious and model a culture of continuous learning, mentoring and coaching
