Job Description:

Fidelity Investments is looking for an outstanding technology leader to assume a key role as the Director of Systems Services and Support within the Electronic Data Transmissions team (EDT). EDT serves as the primary entry and exit point for a wide variety of client and participant data. Core to its mission is creating self-service offerings that enable frictionless uptake by stakeholders and automations that enable scale. EDT is also responsible for the upkeep and modernization of the file-transfer environment. With oversight of the team, the individual in this role will have opportunities daily to build internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and to have a direct and positive impact on Fidelity’s business.

The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring

  • An experienced technical leader with strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Prior people management experience with a technology or technology operations team

  • 5+ years of working experience with Linux and Windows servers, network and file transfer protocols, and encryption technology.

  • Automation, batch, and data support experience using JCL, TSO, SQL, ISPF, Control-M, and Python

  • Familiarity with IBM mainframe, distributed application architecture, and CSP services

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability to communicate across diverse communities of business and technical resources, including upper management

  • Demonstrated curiosity and interest in learning new skills

  • Strong customer focus and customer satisfaction orientation

  • Release management and on-call production support experience

The Team

EDT is part of the Production Services / SRE department within Fidelity’s Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations business unit. EDT works closely with client-facing business teams, technology support teams, and third parties to configure, support, and maintain ~20k file transmissions on behalf of Fidelity’s Workplace Investing business unit. The team has presences in multiple US locations and in India.
