Job Description:
Fidelity Investments is looking for an outstanding technology leader to assume a key role as the Director of Systems Services and Support within the Electronic Data Transmissions team (EDT). EDT serves as the primary entry and exit point for a wide variety of client and participant data. Core to its mission is creating self-service offerings that enable frictionless uptake by stakeholders and automations that enable scale. EDT is also responsible for the upkeep and modernization of the file-transfer environment. With oversight of the team, the individual in this role will have opportunities daily to build internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and to have a direct and positive impact on Fidelity’s business.
The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring
An experienced technical leader with strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
Prior people management experience with a technology or technology operations team
5+ years of working experience with Linux and Windows servers, network and file transfer protocols, and encryption technology.
Automation, batch, and data support experience using JCL, TSO, SQL, ISPF, Control-M, and Python
Familiarity with IBM mainframe, distributed application architecture, and CSP services
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability to communicate across diverse communities of business and technical resources, including upper management
Demonstrated curiosity and interest in learning new skills
Strong customer focus and customer satisfaction orientation
Release management and on-call production support experience
The Team
EDT is part of the Production Services / SRE department within Fidelity’s Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations business unit. EDT works closely with client-facing business teams, technology support teams, and third parties to configure, support, and maintain ~20k file transmissions on behalf of Fidelity’s Workplace Investing business unit. The team has presences in multiple US locations and in India.
