Job Description
The Fraud Risk and Control’s (FRC) Detection Team is responsible for ensuring that fraudulent events such as account log-in, account opening, payment attempts, etc. occurring on Fidelity’s platform are detected and mitigated on a timely manner. FRC Detection Team leverages a combination of vendor and internally developed tools and models which enable real-time detection and interdiction at various stages of the customer lifecycle. As the Director, Fraud Detection, your role is to build strategies that make use of the various models/AI solutions and data sources available to enable timely and accurate detection of fraud events, to ensure customer interactions are risk-assessed in a contextualized and holistic manner, minimizing false positive and contributing to a remarkable customer experience. You will collaborate with product, technology and data science teams to build solutions that accurately detect and interdict fraud, while satisfying strict SLA’s and seamlessly integrating with customer experience. Specifically, you will:
- Leverage cutting-edge AI/Machine Learning Solutions to define Fraud Detection strategies across Fidelity’s products and business lines.
- Use anomaly detection and linking/graph solutions to enable discovery of fraud rings and coordinated events.
- Design profiling and trust solutions to offer intuitive and customized experiences to Fidelity’s customers.
- Collaborate with partner teams to respond to fraud events, mitigate risk and customer impact.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in quantitative fields with 12 years of experience in Fraud Risk management in financial institutions.
- Experience in leveraging AI/Machine Learning solutions to optimize fraud detection
- Hands-on experience in generating analytical insights from large-scale data using python, SQL or similar programming languages
- Experience in project management and problem solving in a complex environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse set of key stakeholders
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
