Position Summary

The Director, US Medical Affairs is a key role within our cutting-edge Cell Therapy Medical organization, and will report directly to the Senior Director, Lymphoma Lead, Cell Therapy. This individual will serve as the medical lead for the large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) indication of Breyanzi and play a critical role in shaping and executing the US medical strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading medical planning, driving scientific engagement, and ensuring the generation and communication of impactful data and insights aligned with the brand objectives. They will also serve as a subject matter expert and crucial member of a cross-functional team, working collaboratively with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Development, Translational Research, and Regulatory to ensure strategic and tactical alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on the US Medical Affairs strategic and tactical plan for LBCL, ensuring alignment with brand strategic imperatives and WW strategy
  • Serve as the US medical lead for the LBCL indication, providing deep subject matter expertise to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Lead the planning and execution of advisory boards and other insight-gathering activities to inform medical strategy
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with thought leaders and key external stakeholders to gain insights and foster scientific exchange
  • Oversee the design and implementation of medical education initiatives
  • Support the generation, interpretation, and dissemination of clinical and real-world data
  • Review and provide strategic input on manuscripts, abstracts, and other scientific publications to ensure accuracy, balance, and alignment with brand strategy
  • Lead the development of proactive scientific content for the Field Medical team
  • Stay abreast of the evolving competitive landscape and provide timely analysis and updates to internal stakeholders; develop and refine scientific messaging in response to internal and external catalysts
  • Collaborate across matrix teams to drive alignment, ensure medical excellence, and support the overall success of the CAR T portfolio

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced Medical/Biology degree (MS, PhD, PharmD) with clinical and/or minimal 5 years of Pharma industry experience required
  • Deep knowledge of US Healthcare system and Cell Therapy customer needs
  • Highly organized, efficient, and motivated individual with the ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives across matrix teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to navigate complex situations and gain alignment with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with the presence to interface with management teams
  • Proven agility in prioritizing and navigating competing demands
  • Estimated 15-20% travel (as applicable)

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $207,490 - $251,400, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
