
Director, Vendor Management
Job Description:
The Role
We are looking for a Director of Vendor Management. As a member of the Enterprise Technology Vendor Management team, you will lead a portfolio of medium-to-high complexity technology vendors across Enterprise Technology.
This role requires a strong focus on vendor risk, vendor performance and impacting overall financial benefit to the firm. You will collaborate with Business partners across multiple functional areas to support the vendor technology strategy across the organization. You will lead performance oversight to ensure our external vendors are accountable through contract compliance. The primary vendors in this opportunity will focus on vendors supporting large and complex vendors; however, may include other vendor segments as needed.
The Value You Deliver:
- Provide oversight to a portfolio of vendors with strategic complexity.
- Lead all aspects of, measure, and report vendor performance relative to contracted expectations, including Service Level Agreements; drive improvement and accountability with the vendors.
- Seek out and implement cost reduction opportunities across your portfolio
- Support funding processes: including purchase order creation & tracking, reporting and associated governance reviews.
- Significant focus on vendor risk, including proactive risk mitigation measures and collaborating with enterprise risk functions.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the relationship’s overall risk profile and drive resolution of risk-related events.
- Building positive partnerships across Procurement, Risk & Finance.
- Develop full understanding of active contracts and ensure vendor and Fidelity are adhering to contract terms.
- · Participate in Procurement related activities, including market scans, RFPs, RFXs, contract and vendor negotiations; coordinate activities to ensure progress, approvals & timely completion.
- Coordinate and drive Business Review meetings with vendors as appropriate.
- Complete responsibilities & compliance to the Enterprise Vendor Management policy.
- Produce recurring dashboards and/or scorecards to internal and external partners.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent (and relevant) experience.
- 7-10 years of work experience in Vendor Management, Procurement or Risk related roles.
- Extensive Fidelity expertise and work experience interacting with all levels of the organization.
- You are an excellent communicator and have strong facilitation, influencing skills and negotiating skills, with strong executive presence.
- You have the ability to independently drive and lead all aspects of complex vendor engagements with minimal oversight.
- You are organized and can lead multiple projects or activities simultaneously and deliver results in an accurate and timely manner.
- You have an ability to cultivate and improve partnerships with peers, leaders, vendors and other partners.
- You have a strong background or experience with Vendor Management and Procurement processes.

The ET Vendor Management office is part of the Fidelity Technology Strategy & Planning organization. FTS&P’s mission is to provide consistent, strategic, and transparent technology management that enables Fidelity Technology to create the platforms and capabilities that deliver value to our customers, clients and associates.
The base salary range for this position is $110,000-222,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
