
Director, Wealth Management Investment Narrative

The Role
The Director of Wealth Management Investment Narrative will partner with Strategic Advisers (the leading portfolio manager for wealth) and Asset Management Marketing to create informational, client-friendly content that will communicate the actions being taken in their advisory accounts by their investment team. The role will be appealing to someone with financial and investment acuity, the ability to collaborate with multiple business partners, meet tight deadlines for clients, and who has experience in investment marketing/communications and investment products and financial markets! Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership in the development and evolution of the investment narrative.
- Establish strategic partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders—including Strategic Advisers, Marketing, field Advisors, the Agency, CKSI and others.
- Enhance the client experience by monitoring the markets and partnering with Strategic Advisers, Asset Management Marketing & 3rd party managers to drive all ongoing communications.
- Create an integrated Omni channel experience that relays the value of the investment team and re-enforces the value of the offering.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- BS with 12 years of financial services marketing communications experience, or MBA with 10 years total financial services marketing communications experience. CFA or CFP are a plus
- Ability to articulate complex investment concepts in easy-to-understand compelling content
- Strong business partner influencing, collaboration and relationship management abilities
- Think strategically — understand customer, business partner needs and prior findings to inform strategy direction and ongoing decision making
- Good business judgment, understands and focuses efforts on key business priorities, thinks holistically, leverages business partners, and focuses on return on investment
- Strong marketing background — understands the need to have a clear messaging tailored to our audience, focus on customer benefits & objectives
- Proactive — anticipates needs and creates opportunities
- Solid project management skills: ability to multi-task, delegate and prioritize
- Financial services and marketing and communications background
- Effective communicator (written and oral); persuasive presenter and salesperson
- Able to work in fast paced environment and grasp new concepts quickly
- Detail oriented and thorough in thinking through new ideas to their end impact on the client experience
- Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to build an effective presentation to convey ideas to a senior audience

The Engagement team is a critical part of the Wealth Management and Retirement Offering team in the Wealth Solutions (WS) domain. The role partners across Fidelity Wealth, Brokerage, Workplace, Marketing, CKSI, Distribution, Legal, Risk and Compliance to deliver the best of Fidelity to Wealth clients.
