Director of Welcome Center and Campus ExperienceUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Director of the UIW Welcome Center and Campus Experience is responsible for directing the UIW campus visit experience for prospective students, families, and K-12 school groups. The position directs the student ambassador program, yield and engagement events, and new student orientation. The Director of Welcome Center and Campus Experience reports to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and the Student Experience.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Advanced MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.• Proficient with CRMs - preferably Recruit and Element 451.• Ability to build strong relationships with the admissions team and departments across campus.• Ability to successfully develop, coordinate, and plan campus-wide programming.• Highly organized and detailed oriented with ability to effectively multitask.• Excellent prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines.• Strong problem-solving and quick decision-making skills. Strong adaptability to changing needs, schedules, weather, and unscheduled visits; ability to pivot and work when crisis occur in events; ability to effectively execute risk management strategies.• Ability to assess, manage, a strategically work within an assigned budget.• Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to make a positive first impression.• Proficient in written and oral communication.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelor's Degree.Required Work Experience• Six (6) years of professional experience in small and large event planning, coordinating, and program management. Note that relevant student experience will be considered.• Three (3) years of supervisory experience in an office or relevant setting.
