Summary of Position

Lionsgate has an immediate opening in our Theatrical Publicity group for a Senior Manager, Worldwide Publicity, Events & Special Projects, who will report to the Vice President, Worldwide Publicity, Events & Special Projects.

Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Ideate and implement comprehensive field publicity strategies for theatrical film campaigns, ensuring alignment with team lead, national publicity & overall marketing pillars.
  • Lead junket & content day planning including venue sourcing, scheduling, and all other logistics.
  • Lead select conventions activations such as Comic-Con, Cinema-Con, Wonder-Con, NYCC, etc based on assignment.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of red carpet premieres, festival activations, fan events, select conventions and industry screenings in conjunction with VP.
  • Identify key regional markets and tailor press strategies to maximize coverage and audience reach.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including national publicity, marketing, and creative to align messaging and campaign tactics.
  • Secure regional media placements across print, digital, TV, and radio to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with regional media, press outlets, and influencers to amplify film campaigns.
  • Research competitor activity and industry trends to inform campaign strategies.
  • Act as a key point of contact for senior executives and talent during high-pressure moments at events.
  • Partner closely with internal teams [Publicity, Marketing, Distribution, Creative] to integrate event strategies into overall campaign plans.
  • Serve as the lead for major film festivals [e.g., Sundance, SXSW, Toronto, Cannes], ensuring strong industry presence and meaningful impact.
  • Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendors to ensure cost efficiency and high-quality execution.

Talent & Press Management

  • Coordinate press days, screenings, and promotional tours in priority markets aligning with overall field strategy.
  • Work closely with talent representatives to organize talent participation in regional publicity efforts.
  • Manage talent itineraries and schedules for field press opportunities.

Media Relations & Partnerships

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regional press and media partners.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key local journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers.
  • Identify unique media partnership opportunities that elevate campaign reach in regional markets.

Communication & Reporting

  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide regular campaign updates, performance insights, and press coverage recaps.
  • Create detailed post-mortem reports highlighting campaign results, key wins, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain clear documentation of press contacts, media lists, and regional strategy templates for future campaigns.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 3-5 years of industry related experience; publicity experience preferred.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign required.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with internal departments and external clients.
  • Very strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deal with deadline pressure.
