Position Summary

The Division Finance Manager (DFM) is a proven finance leader possessing strong finance and business acumen with a demonstrated history of supporting successful business teams and leading financial disciplines. The DFM has strong analytical skills and organizational capabilities to provide critical guidance in the running of the division’s business.

Role & Responsibilities

  • DFM develops strong relations with distributors/brokers in the division to oversee all spending/market funds and to reconcile all AR balances with distributor/broker customers. Assist with processing and submitting invoices.
  • In this role, the DFM manages all reporting of spend against program budgets.
  • The DFM helps the National Account team create business asks for the key states and key accounts.
  • The DFM oversees division's price support, tactical budget, and acts as a liaison of support between National Accounts and the regions providing business solutions.
  • Leading financial skills training/education of division team to build financial+ analytical capabilities of Division personnel (ongoing support and coaching).
  • Managing and providing oversight/direction regarding all division price structures, pricing management, distributor margin analysis, competitive pricing analysis, pricing elasticity studies, etc. and ensuring brand pricing guidelines are executed throughout division.
  • The DFM maximizes profitability by supporting Division teams with appropriate analysis/insight regarding market analysis, channel performance, pricing analysis, post-program effectiveness, etc.
  • He or she ensures that division team and distributor/broker efforts are focused on appropriate brands, marques, markets, channels to achieve long-term financial objectives. The DFM also maintains and analyzes market data regarding distributor performance and prepares reports for senior management, as appropriate.
  • The DFM participates in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with major distributors/brokers to support the achievement of goals.
  • He or she assists, as required, in the preparation of division QBRs. In this role, he or she also provides coaching/education/training to the Division team to develop financial and analytical capabilities/skill sets of division personnel.

Key Relationships

In this role, the DFM works closely with Senior Division management of the Company, as well as a strong dotted line reporting relationship to Commercial Strategy team.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Finance leadership experience, including budget management and reporting
  • Significant background in the spirits and wine industry is preferred
  • Exceptional skills in business finance support and budget management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
  • Understanding of appropriate sales and local marketing tactics to achieve Division profit plan as well as brand equity objectives
  • Exceptional skills in Tableau, Power BI, Nielsen, and IRI
  • Some travel is necessary, occasionally requiring air travel
  • Must have a valid driver's license

The salary range for this role is a base salary of $84,800 - $125,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, and medical and wellness benefits. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience and skill set against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
