JOB SUMMARY
The Dual Enrollment Early Postsecondary Opportunities (EPSO) Coordinator leads the daily operations and strategic direction of Cleveland State’s Dual Enrollment program. This includes responsibility for student advising registration, academic pathway development, and Dual Enrollment grant reporting and reconciliation. The EPSO Coordinator acts as one of the main points of contact for local school partners and supports students in successfully navigating the dual credit experience.
In addition to leading the Dual Enrollment program, the EPSO Coordinator provides essential support to the Tennessee Valley Early College (TVEC) program, including participating in advising and enrollment events, assisting with pathway alignment, and contributing to shared outreach and compliance efforts. This position plays a central role in promoting student access, increasing early college participation, and supporting postsecondary achievement.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICIATIONS
- Minimum of associate degree from a regionally accredited college required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in education, advising, or program coordination.
- Experience with dual enrollment, early college, or K-12/higher education partnerships strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and in Google Suite.
- Knowledge of Banner software preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Program Management & Development – Dual Enrollment Focus (30%)
- Lead all aspects of the Dual Enrollment program, including student onboarding, academic scheduling, and course alignment with school districts.
- Coordinate dual enrollment pathways in collaboration with high school partners and faculty.
- Manage Dual Enrollment grant compliance, reporting, and reconciliation in accordance with state and institutional policy.
- Maintain and update program resources and promotional content.
- Support schools in navigating changes in policy, eligibility, and funding.
Student Advising & Support (25%)
- Serve as the primary advisor for Dual Enrollment students, guiding them through registration and course planning.
- Proactively monitor academic progress and intervene when needed to support student success.
- Coordinate with Enrollment Services and academic divisions to ensure seamless registration.
- Support Tennessee Valley Early College (TVEC) student advising and enrollment sessions and onboarding events.
Communication, Outreach & Relationship Management (25%)
- Serve as the college’s lead liaison with school districts for Dual Enrollment programming.
- Provide clear and timely communication to students, families, and school officials.
- Represent Dual Enrollment and joint EPSO programs at recruitment fairs, school visits, and college events.
- Build partnerships that support Tennessee Valley Early College (TVEC) expansion and school district collaboration.
Event Coordination, Record Keeping & Compliance (15%)
- Organize Dual Enrollment events such as orientations, information sessions, and award ceremonies.
- Maintain accurate records of student advising and registration in compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Participate in the development of shared Memorandum of Understanding (MOU’s) and articulation agreements.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) guidelines for early college programs.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (5%)
- Collaborate regularly with the Dual Enrollment Coordinator to align program goals and operations.
- Must attend all college functions as required.
- Serve on various college committees.
- The appointee will be required to meet those standards now required or which in the future may be required by the Tennessee State Board of Regents and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
- The appointee may be required to achieve additional skill, knowledge, or credential levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

- Awareness of and ability to implement effective customer service practices within an educational setting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or extended hours during peak registration and event periods.
- Familiarity with the policies, procedures, and grant programs associated with dual enrollment, high school partnerships, and postsecondary pathways.
- A student-centered mindset with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain focus on access.
WORK ACTIVITIES & EQUIPMENT
Work is generally performed with the use of personal computers, copiers, document scanners, and multi-line telephones. Work activities require a high level of ability to navigate numerous computer systems and software and require a strong familiarity with personal computers.
JOB LOCATION
This position is an on-site role located in the Student Center-Office of Enrollment Management, located on the main campus of Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tennessee. Occasional travel to off-campus sites within the college’s five (5) county service area including high schools may be required.
