Education Coordinator for Enrollment Services (Financial Aid)

Jefferson Community College, located in Watertown, New York, and part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, seeks a full-time Education Coordinator for Enrollment Services (Financial Aid).

This position serves as an enrollment services generalist with responsibilities including outreach and counseling to current and prospective Jefferson students as it relates to the enrollment process. This includes development, implementation, and monitoring of financial aid and admissions-related activities with an emphasis on recruitment and communication both on and off campus - such as campus tours, group and individual visitations, high school outreach, and open house programming. Staff members will also perform administrative daily functions associated with financial aid packaging, billing, registration, and enrollment certifications.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to students, families, and campus stakeholders, ensuring interactions are professional, courteous, and solution-focused. This position requires flexibility to include evening and weekend activities, including some overnight travel. A valid driver's license is required to meet appropriate travel requirements.

The Education Coordinator for Enrollment Services will work closely with the College's leadership to advance the mission of the current Strategic Plan.

Required: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of appropriate professional experience.

Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.

Preferred: Previous higher education experience specifically in Financial Aid and/or Student Recruitment.

Advertised Salary: $47,589 - $52,347/yr. for well-qualified individuals. Salary is determined based upon experience and education in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement as well as internal equity.
