Job Description

This Logistics Specialist position provides end-user technology support for the Fidelity Investments (City, State) location. Fidelity has over 70,000 associates across multiple US locations. This job role is 100% onsite and the support ratio is 4000 associates to 1 Logistics Specialist. This position will provide hardware asset management support and requires both administrative and physical tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Technology assets by Manufacturer, Model, Asset Tag, Serial Number. Responsible for over 1500+ items at any given time within Logistics Storage rooms
  • Maintain clean, labeled, organized room
  • Maintain hardware stock levels for various programs such as New hires, PC Lifecycle management and break/fix
  • Utilize an inventory management system, excel spreadsheets, custom applications, shipping applications. Need to be “Tech savvy”
  • Create warranty and out-of-warranty laptop repair requests
  • Ship out equipment to individuals or other Region’s
  • Coordinate shipments with the mailroom daily
  • Supervise vendors for break/fix and pickup/disposals
  • Working queue of tickets for hardware requests/programs
  • Ensure rooms adhere to security protocols
  • Device imaging/wiping - ability to follow documentation to build devices and wipe devices
  • Support Service Level Targets with timely and accurate execution of Service Now requests via our ticketing and tracking systems
  • Adherence to reporting and escalation procedures
  • Conduct quarterly audits with Central Logistics to ensure asset accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Coordinate with Central Logistics team who creates processes/workflows and monitors the execution of those tasks
  • Collaborate closely with local desktop technical support team to ensure successful completion of customer requests and projects
  • Ability to perform non routine assignments
  • Manage equipment donation process per guidelines
  • Accommodate rapidly changing requirements and non-standard requests once approved Knowledge of our product catalog offerings
  • Monthly disposal of equipment such as computers, monitors, printers, phones, accessories, and audio/visual equipment. 100% adherence to Audit controls.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strictly adhere to processes and procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, need to follow daily/weekly/monthly tasks, must have data entry skills
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal management oversight
  • Ability to work directly with another team member and with a broader team
  • Knowledge of PC Hardware and related accessories
  • Willingness to hold others accountable for following processes and procedures
  • Partner effectively with vendors, associates, and other groups
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. repetitively
  • Ability to think independently, organize, prioritize, multitask and execute on assignments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc)

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent with 2-3 years knowledge of inventory management, preferably with computer hardware and operating systems
  • Experience with Asset Management system, preferably ServiceNow
