
Engineering Intern, Quality
Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our plant in Brea, CA as team as Engineering Intern focusing on Quality initiatives. This position will assist engineering, Quality, and manufacturing in driving improvements in Safety through process control and improvement initiatives.
- Focus on driving integration actions and problem solving to reduce rejections
- Collaborate with cross functional team to achieve department goals
- Engage with hourly workforce to understand safety risks and take action to come up with solutions
- Take direction from the engineering/Quality team to complete projects as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, etc) from an accredited institution.
- Active student status required; must provide proof of enrollment.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Relevant internship/work/research experience a plus.
Salary Range:
The base pay range for this position in California is $25 - $28/hour. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
