PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESYour responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to the following:
Serve as a key member of the Environmental practice with the ability to step in and immediately manage various environmental projectsPrepare technical memoranda, Exceedance Response Action (ERA) reports, electronic deliverables, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and review and analyze data throughout the project cyclePerform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses of stormwater runoffDesign stormwater best management practicesInspect commercial, industrial, and construction sites for conformance with applicable stormwater permit requirementsPerform pollutant source assessmentsCollect samples and evaluate stormwater quality dataProvide training to client personnel regarding applicable permit requirements, sampling procedures, and BMP implementationAssist with permit applications and communicate with various environmental permitting agenciesWork with internal and external team members to produce successful projectsOther duties as required QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSEducationBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering,Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science; Master’s degree preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMinimum of three (3) years of experience as an engineer or scientist in the environmental engineering/consulting field with a background in industrial stormwater projects Professional Engineer license, Engineer-In-Training certification, or Professional Geologist license preferredQualified Industrial Stormwater Practitioner (QISP) certification or interest in obtaining preferredExperience with Autocad, AutoDesk Civil 3D, or ESRI Pro software packages preferredOSHA HAZWOPER training preferredCompetenciesMust have effective communication skills both oral and writtenMust have a strong work ethic and attention to detailMust have ability to multi-task, stay organized, work independently, and collaborate with various project teamsMust have a strong desire to grow personally as well as professionallyMust have a great attitude and be eager to learnMust have a current valid driver’s licensePHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENTMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with high-volume workload and frequent short deadlinesMust have the ability to obtain medical clearance to work on hazardous waste site(s)Must be able to lift up to 35 poundsMust be able to work 10-hour daysMust be able to work remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsMust be able to communicate with others to exchange informationTRAVEL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to travel occasionally, possibly overnight for customer meetings and site visits up to 20% of the timeSALARY RANGE
- The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $134,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus based on individual and company performance.
