We are pioneers and innovators. We look for people who push boundaries, who dream, who are committed to inclusivity – who want to contribute to Rip City!

As our Environmental Services Coordinator, you’ll be an essential part of the team that keeps Rose Quarter facilities running smoothly and looking their best. You’ll support the Environmental Services department by organizing and coordinating key functions for our part-time staff — from onboarding and training to scheduling and quality control. This role helps ensure our operations stay efficient, compliant, and connected, while fostering engagement and pride across the team.

DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Coordinate, plan, and audit all training for part-time staff employees.
  • Assist department managers with scheduling needs such as helping to intake and organizing availability changes as well as making schedule changes within ABI.
  • Support the hiring and onboarding process for part-time staff, including interviews, training schedules, and ensuring all onboarding paperwork and workflows comply with hiring policies.
  • Conduct and facilitate staff training sessions, including new hire orientation, Bridge learning modules, sustainability, and compliance trainings throughout the year.
  • Maintain the housekeeping inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses and routing messages to the right team members.
  • Complete regular facility walks to maintain quality control and educate staff on areas of opportunity and efficiency.
  • Review and share company and department feedback (RQ Hugs, Weekly Insights, Secret Shopper reports) with appropriate team members to drive engagement and improvement.
  • Distribute company announcements and department updates to ensure all part-time team members stay informed.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings as the department representative and conduct facility safety walks.
  • Oversee the organization and maintenance of departmental policies, procedures, and SOPs, keeping both physical and digital copies up to date and easily accessible.
  • Manage and track uniform inventory and department-submitted maintenance requests.
  • Serve as the primary backup to department managers, providing coverage and support during out-of-office periods and peak event seasons.
  • Oversee the summer project tracker (July–September), monitoring timelines, communicating delays, and flagging key updates or risks to leadership.

WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • Have 1–2 years of relevant experience in operations, facilities, or administrative coordination.
  • Can fulfill attendance expectations, including weekdays, occasional evenings, and a fluctuating schedule based on event needs.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and enjoy working with a wide variety of people.
  • Are organized, detail-oriented, and reliable, able to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through on commitments.
  • Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills, making sound decisions with fairness and professionalism.
  • Have basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems.
  • Bring a customer service mindset and take pride in supporting others through timely communication and thoughtful follow-up.
  • Can work independently and efficiently, staying proactive in anticipating needs and improving processes.
  • Enjoy coordinating training, schedules, or projects and keeping teams connected and informed.
  • Are self-motivated and constantly looking for ways to improve processes.

WE’D BE THRILLED IF YOU ALSO HAVE…

  • Experience training or motivating part-time teams and supporting employee engagement efforts.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices, safety programs, or quality control standards.
  • A genuine passion for creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
