This is temporary or hourly paid work performing professional health care services. Positions in this job are established for less than 9 months or scheduled for less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits if the position status is temporary (i.e., SCOA 513). Positions in this job are established for greater than 9 months and scheduled for greater than 30 hours per week if the position status is permanent labor (i.e., SCOA 512). Normally permanent labor positions are eligible for Health Insurance benefits.

This position is located at the Northwest Georgia Public Health District Office in Rome, Georgia. This position is an unclassified hourly position working 20 hours per week. Please complete you online application listing current and previous employers plus detailed job duties.

Job Responsibilities
Job Summary
Assist with planning, development and implementation of a communications program, and/or public relations plan for an assigned agency, department, facility or function.
This position is located at the Northwest Georgia Public Health District Office in Rome, Georgia.
This is a part-time intern position working 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Strong written, verbal, and communication skills with a knack for online culture that communicates the Public Health message
- Passion for identifying new trends in social media and staying up to date on the latest platform updates and offerings
- You're a self-starter who is interested in helping to identify and create projects that increase awareness of / participation in public health programs and services
- Superior project management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with social media channels and the production of informational material in a variety of media channels
- Detail-oriented, persistent follow-up and an ability to juggle shifting priorities
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing Bachelor’s degree related to Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or other related fields.

Current CBH employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.
CBH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. CBH may contact educational institutions to verify degree, diploma, licensure, etc.
The District Human Resource Department must receive an official transcript and/or proof of licenses, certifications prior to employment.
