Shift

The expectation is primarily day shift Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, however as an exempt-level position, additional hours and on-call team rotation will be required as needed to perform job duties.

This is a hybrid position.


Job Summary

The Epic Security Analyst Senior position is responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the Epic Systems application and related data within UK HealthCare. This role involves implementing and maintaining security policies, managing user access, and conducting regular security assessments to protect against vulnerabilities. The Epic Security Analyst Senior will collaborate with IT teams, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to support Epic system configurations, troubleshoot security issues, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this position will provide expertise in safeguarding sensitive patient information and ensuring the overall security posture of Epic applications. Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage security configurations for Epic Systems applications. Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans. Manage user access controls and ensure appropriate levels of access. Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches. Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to address security concerns and improve system configurations. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data protection standards. Provide support for security-related projects and initiatives. This position is hybrid and may require travel in and around the Lexington area.

Please note:
Effective 7/1/2026, this position will be titled Epic Security Analyst and will report through Information Technology Services in Beyond Blue.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will have Epic security experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in information technology highly preferred.
