The Role

The Event Technician, High Touch Services within the Managed Events Team will work directly within the Signature Venues located at the Commonwealth Pier in Boston. This position requires on-site support from 7:30am-5pm and will be on-call through lunch hours with occasional requests for early or after hours to support the Conference technologies for Executive and Client facing meetings throughout the floor. The support will include first level support for standard A/V setups and custom A/V on the floor. The technician will be engaged for specific events using Outlook or Zoom Workplace Reservations or via direct communication from the Signature Venue or Managed Events Teams. The technician will be expected to perform routine checks of AV equipment, periodic monitoring of the floor, and will provide operational setup for outstanding requests within Signature Venues. The technician will be expected to engage the proper teams when needed and manage the issue to resolution.
As part of the Managed Events team, this role will integrate within the existing team of 13 uniquely skilled associates responsible for the operational support of live events and can draw upon the larger team for backup, support, and knowledge share for the Conference Center.
Given the high visibility of the Signature Venues for Fidelity and outside Executives, this position requires a timely, adaptable, and reliable associate with deep technical knowledge in both PC and AV support as well as a good understanding of the Fidelity support model.

Team

The Enterprise Infrastructure Production support is a global (24 x7) diverse team supporting the Production environments for the Asset Management Business. We are a customer obsessed production support team who continuously look for opportunities to drive efficiencies. We monitor, assess, and mitigate the business impact of production incidents and deploy code changes in production to enable new features or functionalities. We analyze and fix application & batch issues by working in partnership with the Asset Management Technology teams.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong event support background with at least 5-10 years of experience

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $35.00-$40.00 per hour.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
