Position Summary

TheExecutive Director, PDS Digital Transformation & Fusionwill reporttotheVP,PDS Chief of Staff andwill lead the design and execution of a cross-functional operating model that embeds digital, data, AI, and advanced analytics capabilities into core business processes across Product Development & Supply (PDS).This role carries a clear executive mandate to lead and influencePDSwidetransformation,shaping how the organizationoperatesthrough product-based delivery, end-to-end workflow redesign, and data-driven decisioning.This leaderrepresentsPDS in enterprise governance forums and playsa central rolein aligning digital and operational priorities to ensure transformation is both scalable and durable.

Success in this role is not measured by sustaining current operations, but by delivering step-change improvements across the PDS value chain accelerating cycle times, improving right-first-time quality, and enabling faster, more confident decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Critical to this is advancing the Fusion model underpinned by strong data governance and a “data democracy” mindset ensuring that trusted, accessible data drives transparency, accountability, and performance across PDS. The role is positioned to rewire how work gets done, embedding digital capabilities and analytics into core workflows to unlock measurable enterprise value.

Key Responsibilities:

Fusion Team Strategy & Operating Model

  • Provide purpose-driven leadership and direct oversight of the enterprise Fusion team, driving a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap that are fully aligned withand acceleratePDS and enterprise priorities
  • Design and evolve a cross-functional operating model integrating business, product, data, engineering, and operationsexpertisethatretainsa competitive edge for PDS
  • Establish standards for governance, decision rights, team structure, and performance management to enable scale

Digital Transformation & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end digital transformationassociated withbusiness strategy, embedding data, AI, and digital capabilities into core processes
  • Drive product-based, agile delivery models across the full lifecyclefrom opportunity definition through adoption and continuous improvement
  • Translate business needs into scalable, secure, user-centered digital and AI solutions
  • Ensure value realization, speed, and adoption through disciplined execution and strong stakeholder alignment

Data,AI& Workflow Integration

  • Oversee enterprise dataand AI capabilitiesenabling insight-driven decision making across PDS
  • Integrate AI, automation, and digital tools into end-to-end workflowsincluding business ownership of key platforms
  • Drive scale up of unified data model asset in partnership with BI&T through establishing foundational data product processes and integrating external data
  • Partner withcross-functional partners and leaders (i.e., BI&T, Finance, HR)to ensure scalable platforms, architecture, and data ecosystems
  • Define how humanandAI capabilities operate together within critical business processes
  • Manage and measure digital and AI maturity across PDS against benchmarks

Governance, Portfolio Management & Value Tracking

  • Establishdata and digitalproductgovernancetoensure solutions are secure, compliant, ethical, and aligned to regulatory requirements
  • Drive portfolio prioritization, funding, and resource alignment across Fusion and digital initiatives
  • Define and track KPIs to measure transformation progress, adoption, and business value
  • Ensure disciplined execution and alignment to enterprise strategy and outcomesusing tradeoffs and risk to valueanalysis

Enterprise Partnership & Influence

  • Lead proactive stakeholder engagement acrossbusinessunits',building alignment, influencing enterprise decisions, and driving accountability for transformation outcomes
  • Partner with senior leaders acrossPDS,BI&T,Finance,HR,and functional teams to drive alignment and integration
  • Act as a strategic connector and advisor across business, data, and technology domains
  • Influence executive stakeholders on operating model design, transformation priorities, and AI adoption strategies

Organizational Capability& ChangeManagement

  • Build and leadhigh performing,matrixedcross-functionalteams acrossbusiness, product,digitalanddata
  • Foster a culture of innovation,ownership,continuouslearning, and digital fluency
  • Drive adoption at scale by reducing organizationalfriction and aligning stakeholders

  • Identifyand partner with BI&T and HR toidentifyAI skills needed to sustain PDS rewiring efforts


Qualifications:

  • 12-15+ yearsof leadership inbusinesstransformationin an operational environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant discipline (e.g., Life Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business); advanced degree preferred
  • Deep experience driving value through use of digital, data, analytics, AI, or technology domains
  • Experience operating in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated environments preferred
  • Proven track record leading enterprise-scale, cross-functional transformation programs with measurable impact
  • Experience designing and scaling operating models and product-based delivery approaches
  • Strong experience leading matrixed, multidisciplinary teams across business and technology functions
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable digital, AI, or analytics solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior leaders, align diverse stakeholders, and drive enterprise decisions

Compensation Overview:

$265,460 - $321,669

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

  • US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays

Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
