The Role

Are you interested in building modern, cloud-native web applications or integrating best-of-breed SaaS software products to provide the best solution to users? We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to be a key member of a team that does both!

This position is part of a growing organization of 1000+ engineers passionate about delivering the very best technical solutions, mainly in the cloud, for our Corporate Technology Group. Specifically, this team develops and supports custom applications and the integration of vendor applications to enable Fidelity’s Legal Department.

The Expertise We are Looking For

You must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Advanced Mathematics or equivalent work experience
  • 6-9+ years of proven experience with Java development, could have REST-based services experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with crafting solutions that involve integrating various SaaS products and building cloud native, web-based applications (AWS preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Typescript

You should have:

  • Experience with DevOps/Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Jenkins Core, Git, Artifactory and Jira, or equivalents) and Automation Tools/Frameworks including Unit, Component, Functional, Performance, and Security testing
  • Experience deploying with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
  • Experience working with an RDBMS such as Oracle (Amazon RDS preferred)
  • Experience in Agile methodologies or iterative development processes

You could have:

  • Experience with Low Code Application Platforms like PowerApps, OutSystems, etc.
  • Experience with ETL/Data Flow technologies, e.g., Apache Nifi, MuleSoft
  • Experience with Enterprise Document Management solutions, e.g. Nuxeo, Documentum

The Skills You Bring

  • You are a quick learner and open to learning new tools and developing with the latest technologies/ frameworks.
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work optimally with engineers, product managers and business partners.
  • You have a full grasp of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
  • You are able to apply robust critical thinking and analytical skills to diagnose issues and resolve problems

The Value You Deliver

  • Actively participating in solution design discussions with product owners, top engineers and architects
  • Building quality code that adheres to sound design and architecture patterns and engineering excellence standards
  • Using Test Driven Development or Behavior Driven Development practices and crafting robust unit test cases to deliver high quality products
  • Willing to provide support during U.S. business hours and participate in 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis
