The Role
The IWMS group is looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a passion for crafting and delivering software solutions to be part of its diverse, globally distributed team of IT professionals. In this role, you will use your knowledge of software development, platform integration, and cloud computing to modernize a diverse suite of applications that support our billing (correspondent and advisor) business! You will be a member of our team collaborating with product management, architecture, engineering, and technology partners to innovate, design, and deliver highly scalable applications and platforms using Agile methodologies.

The IWMS Platforms domain is within the FI Technology division, to enable our business partners to win their respective marketplaces by crafting, building, and maintaining the technology platforms and products of Fidelity’s Institutional business units. While NF and IWS Systems currently supports billing, banking, operations, data sharing, integration solutions, trust, retirement, managed accounts and client transition platforms, we will have a focus on modernizing applications that don’t have an alignment with other product areas.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field!
- 6+ years of relevant full stack development experience with architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining multi-tier applications
- Strong expertise with the following desired skills: Java/JEE, Spring/Springboot, RESTful Services, Python, Cloud (AWS), Test and Deployment technologies, Kubernetes, Angular
- Strong experience with web services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, YAML, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with API design & development, AWS (Cloud) Migration, Data Design, Batch Processing, Workflow/Process Automation and UI
- Cloud skills working with AWS EKS/ECS and AWS handled solutions such as Lambda, SQS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch and IAM roles/polices
- Terracore experience preferred, CloudFormation Templates at minimum
- Proficiency with front-end frameworks, libraries, and related technologies
- Experience using logging/observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk and ELK Stack
- Strong CI/CD skills including full scale security and quality testing, build and deployment automation
- Excellent analytical, communication and preparation skills and the ability to run with multiple tasks at a given time
- Proficient with Agile methodologies
- Design and implementation of software solutions that meet requirements and are aligned to the project/program strategic direction
- Adhere to engineering best practices and participate in design and code reviews
- Develop and maintain partnerships across the organization
- Work as part of a team in a collaborative environment to deliver an exceptional experience for our clients
- Expert understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
- Identify creative ways to drive desired outcomes and promote culture of innovation by setting examples
- Collaborate with peers through code reviews, pair programming or interactive discussions daily
- Follow outstanding software engineering practices and always looking to improve your engineering skills and industry knowledge
- Bring a data-driven and team approach to decision making, both in day-to-day work and in making strategic trade-offs
- Familiarity with delivering solutions to the market and having them scale for product growth with recognition of technology trends in implementing business applications
- Collaboration with business and technology partners to define and deliver our strategy and roadmap based upon business requirements
- Engage with distributed team of developers in leading standard methodologies for software engineering
Please see the below pay rate range for the work location of Rhode Island only: $60.00-$102.35 per hour.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
