Fidelity is seeking a hardworking Agile Full Stack Software Engineer to join a new team that is building full stack applications. As a member of the team you’ll create and influence innovative solutions that meet not only functional, but also performance, scalability and reliability requirements. You will be expected to work as a member of a high functioning Scrum team to help drive the next generation user experience. You will also be encouraged to demonstrate end-to-end ownership of team commitments and look for ways for you to help team achieve its commitments beyond just finishing your own personal tasks.

The Student Debt Product Area team is in the Emerging Technologies Chapter within Workplace Investing. The team you will be working with has a desire for new technology and love solving complex problems. This is a highly participative team which shares knowledge and grows together. You will report to a Chapter Leader (your manager), whose primary focus is to help you develop in your career and abilities as we drive towards increased automation and continuous delivery motivated to deliver high quality products to our clients.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- A Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field as well as 8+ years of practical experience
- Expertise and experience in designing and developing applications including new developments, enhancements, maintenance, and support. The role involves continuous collaboration with partners, iterative understanding of requirements, following Fidelity best practices / methodologies, thorough understanding of the technology roadmap, advancement to design / development process and providing on-call production support on rotation basis.
- Ability to triage and execute root cause analysis, while also creatively solving new/interesting problems in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of internet, mobile, and application architecture, as well as current and emerging technologies
- Proficiency with server-side/mid-tier languages, frameworks, libraries, and related technologies: Java EE, Apache Tomcat, Appache Camel, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Logback, SLF4j, Maven
- Client-side language, library, and framework proficiency: Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, RxJS
- Appreciation for and alignment to standard methodologies regarding object-oriented design, coding standards, RESTful service consumption and integration, common design patterns, secure application development, and test coverage
- Experience in Oracle PL/SQL or understanding of working with relational databases and familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica.
- Knowledge on CD process and tools and practices (preferably GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory etc.)
- Ability to communicate software engineering and/or development concepts and principles.
- Design, develop, and implement data complex solutions, including alignment to coding standards, and building/running appropriate unit and integration tests and deployment scripts
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with other developers and co-workers including distributed team members
- Agile/Scrum experience is a must
- DevOps concepts governing SCM, continuous integration, monitoring, and deployment processes
- Enterprise application architecture patterns and orchestration frameworks such as Apache Camel
- Client-side unit testing frameworks and test runners like Jasmine and Karma
- Docker containerization and AWS cloud deployment and application management via the AWS console
- AWS certification(s)
- The W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and their implementation
