Our chapter is comprised of teams that work on a wide range of capabilities and platforms to enable experiences on Fidelity.com, Fidelity Mobile Apps etc.

The Purpose of Your Role

We build and give to Fidelity’s platform. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be an integral member of a dynamic team continuously improving our cloud deployment platform, “automating all the things” in support of our rapidly expanding product portfolio.

• Suggest deployment patterns & practices improvements based on findings from past deployments and production issues, collaborate with DevOps team to implement these.
• Promote a DevOps culture, including forming relationships with other technical and business teams.
• Design effective monitoring / alerting (for conditions such as application-errors, high memory usage) and log aggregation approaches (to quickly access logs for troubleshooting, or generate reports for trend analysis) to proactively notify business stakeholders of issues and communicate metrics, working closely with these stakeholders.

• A creator, a doer, and a game-changer who will help us tackle real-life problems and meet real customer needs. You’ll be helping us build things, taking an idea, and creating rapid prototypes that are shippable and learn from real-life feedback.
• Understands the importance of cycle time and use CI/CD practices, tools to rapidly deploy changes to customers while minimizing risk using practices like A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles
• Stays on top of Algorithms, Data Structures and Design Patterns and loves the challenge of building highly scalable systems that can support thousands of transactions/sec.
• Has a mentality of test first development and experience in modern test frameworks. We believe testing and that quality is everyone’s job.
• Are data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions. We understand the value of intuition and the need to balance decisions accordingly.
• Has strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in significant discussions.

The Skills You Bring

• Expertise in Javascript, Node, Vue.js and Angular
• A strong understanding of Linux administration including Bash scripting
• Application development with microservice architectures.
• Must have understanding on Test Driven Development, CI, and CD
• Good knowledge of HTTP based APIs, Networking and how the internet works.
• Extensive experience working with JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, HTML & Browser Developer tools.
• Automation Tools/Frameworks
• Linux, Shell Scripting, Docker and AWS Cloud certification will be a plus
• Java Spring Boot experience (enhancing existing API's)
