Senior Full Stack Engineer/Developer – Sales Support and Compensation (SS&C)

The Role
Fidelity Wealth – Sales Support and Compensation engineering team is looking for a passionate and well experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer/Developer with strong Cloud, Microservices and data engineering skills and could work across a wide range of tech stack. We work in a multifaceted agile environment.

The Team:
The team builds and supports highly critical applications used by Fidelity’s front-line sales associates. The team is responsible for aggregating large volume of data from various sources, processing through sophisticated business rules and accurately computing the key metrics needed for variable compensation calculation.

Our team is comprised of engineering teams primarily based in North Carolina & New England. Our platform consists of multiple back-end internal capabilities integrated with SAP Commissions for compensation & reporting. We are on a multi-year program to modernize our e2e platform, moving from an on-prem/batch monolith to a cloud/event-driven implementation. The Value You Deliver
  • Experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs using Java.
  • Experience in Microservices and Event driven Architecture in a Cloud environment.
  • Experience developing software utilizing relational databases (Oracle, Postgres)
  • Experience with Test automation for unit, functional and non-functional testing
  • Ability to develop technical artifacts based on analysis of business and systems requirements
  • Aptitude to discover/document implementations from legacy systems, Oracle, Java. as part of re- platform.
  • Knowledge of current technologies and evolving trends.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies
  • Detail oriented coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills?
  • Must be an organized self-starter with a collaborative work style, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong Team player and collaborator


The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related technology discipline
  • 5+ years of software development experience on business critical, enterprise-wide applications.
  • Extensive experience with Service Oriented Architecture REST APIs using Spring Boot / Drop wizard.
  • Proven track record working with event-driven microservice architecture.
  • Certifications in and working experience with AWS Cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps automation with CI/CD pipelines including Unit, Component and Functional test automation.
  • Proven experience working with relational databases such as Oracle and Postgres.
  • Experience with re-platforming large applications.
  • Expertise in designing, developing and maintaining high-volume transactional systems.
  • Ability to debug through legacy systems and capture current state to aid with modernization.
  • Actively participates in and contributes to formal reviews of architecture, design and code
  • Experience with supporting Monolith legacy applications
  • Publishes clear, concise and thorough design documentation
  • Provides support for software releases into production environments
  • Fosters teamwork and collaboration across multi-region development teams, business and systems partners.
  • Experience with Co-Pilot/Dev Assistant tools desirable.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum Methodologies is preferred.
