Full Stack Developer
We are seeking a dedicated (FTS) Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer to join us at Fidelity Investments in Smithfield, RI, United States. This is an outstanding opportunity where you will play a key role on our Scrum team within the Digital Platforms Technology division. You will contribute to architecting, building, testing, and crafting the features that improve Fidelity’s Digital Experiences. Your leadership, guidance, and mentoring will be essential to the success of our team!
What you will be responsible for:
Fidelity's Workplace Investing (WI) Digital Platforms team designs, develops, implements, and supports WI’s suite of digital products and services. The development team for Digital Platforms focuses on delivering innovative solutions which meet the needs of our customers. Our systems professionals thrive, with a steadfast dedication to innovation, which cultivates a culture of continuous improvement and significant achievement. We see ourselves as a vital link to Fidelity's customers. This is a fast-paced group that is using ground-breaking technologies to build powerful tools and outstanding user experiences for our customers, using Java-based technologies.
Dynamic Working
Your primary place of work is listed above. In order to execute particular work assignments or otherwise generally to fulfill the scope of your responsibilities, you are only permitted to work from within the United States. Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M–F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles. Some roles may have unique onsite requirements. Please consult with your recruiter for the specific expectations for this position.

What you will be responsible for:
- Leading the development of innovative solutions that provide a flawless customer experience.
- Supporting and collaborating with an agile team to deliver best-in-class web applications.
- Coordinating with various collaborators to ensure the successful implementation of technical solutions.
- Comprehensive software engineering experience spanning more than 6 years; experience in financial services is an advantage
- BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Extensive experience decomposing sophisticated business problems into creative, efficient, and scalable solutions
- Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth and learning
- Experience communicating technical needs to non-technical team members
- Ability to develop scalable, maintainable solutions with a long-term mentality
- Proficiency in both server-side (e.g., Java EE, Spring Boot) and client-side (e.g., Angular 14+, JavaScript) technologies
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with enterprise application architecture and orchestration frameworks such as Apache Camel
- DevOps concepts governing SCM, continuous integration, monitoring, and deployment processes
- Client-side unit testing frameworks and test runners like Jasmine and Karma
- Docker containerization and AWS cloud deployment and application management via the AWS console
- AWS certification(s)
- The W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and their implementation
