Our Cash technology and Platform team is looking for solution based engineers with a passion for developing easy-to-use, customer focused Applications and capabilities which power Fidelity’s web and mobile experience platforms.

The Purpose of Your Role

We build Applications that support Fidelity’s large scale digital presence. You will help us design and develop re-usable APIs, Web components that focus on customer experience needs and optimize quality and deployment practices. You’ll be involved in the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment as a member of an agile, multi-functional team.

You will have the opportunity to share your technical knowledge to help strengthen our engineering community and further pursue your own learning of new technologies and platforms.

  • Are experienced with the tools of the trade including a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks
  • Uses CI/CD practices, tools to rapidly deploy changes to customers while minimizing risk using practices like A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles
  • Stay on top of Algorithms, Data Structures and Design Patterns and love the challenge of building highly scalable systems that can support thousands of transactions/sec
  • Have a mindset of test first development and are experienced in modern test frameworks
  • Are data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions
  • Have strong communication skills and technical expertise in driving and participating in discussions

The Skills You Bring

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development
  • Hands-on experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), building RESTful services, JSON, and modern Application Servers
  • Proficient in JavaScript / TypeScript and Java
  • Knowledge of web application development using Angular, NodeJS, React, HTML, CSS/SASS and ExpressJS
  • Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, isolation and micro-services. Having GraphQL knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of cloud computing environments and applications (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience in documenting APIs employing an API documentation framework like OpenAPI
  • Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, and NPM
  • Knowledge in Container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
  • Strong knowledge of developing highly scalable distributed systems using open-source technologies
  • Working knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest, Karma, Junit, Cypress
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban, SCRUM)
  • Knowledge of relational (Postgres, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL database management systems
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization globally
  • Strong team player and able to mentor junior team members

The Value You Deliver

Cash Technology & Platforms (CTP) team in Fidelity Wealth (FW) supports applications and tools that provide capabilities like Online money movement, Account management, Bill pay services, Cash & Payments, FDIC and Credit/Debit Cards for Fidelity's retail and workplace customers. This position will play a key role in delivering new and enhancing existing digital capabilities to provide the best customer experience.
