The Role

In this role, you’ll work closely with multi-functional teams—including architecture, marketing, and product—to implement and evolve systems that support user preferences and communication choices. Lead all aspects of building applications managing user communication preferences via email, text, and mail.

This role involves both web and mobile environments, integrating modern frameworks and backend services to deliver intuitive, adaptable, and scalable solutions. This includes working with various preference management applications that ensure users have clear, flexible, and secure control over how they engage with Fidelity.

This role offers a dynamic environment, exposing new challenges and emerging technologies. Improve data collection strategies and user interfaces for continuous learning and growth, ideal for innovative engineers.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven focus on web and mobile application development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS/CIS or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
  • Experience with mobile development (iOS and Android e.g., Kotlin and Swift), including user preference handling
  • Familiarity with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java) and RESTful API design
  • Demonstrable experience contributing to architectural discussions, with the ability to articulate a strong point of view and collaborate closely with dedicated architecture teams
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills in Web, API and Mobile environments demonstrating tools such as Charles Proxy, Chrome Developer Tool, Postman/Insomnia
  • Experience working multi-functionally with marketing and product teams to align on user experience and communication preferences
  • Solid experience with Agile methodologies and modern software delivery practices, including the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
