Experience in Undergraduate Research is not required.

4. Meaningful understanding of the UK Campus

5. Possess excellent customer service skills

6. Must be reliable and be able to professionally interact with stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, and alumni

7. Organized, creative, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task

8. MS Office and Google Drive experience

9. Video editing and photography experience

10. Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok

Physical Requirements

Sitting at a desk/computer; push or carry items up to 25 lbs; campus errands; and regular use of a computer and media technology.



Shift

Weekdays between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.





Job Summary

The Office of Undergraduate Research seeks a Student Marketing and Communications Assistant for the 2025-2026 academic year. Duties of this position include, but not limited to:

1. Assist with communication efforts through campus outreach, graphic design, social media scheduling, website updates, and digital marketing strategies

2. Curate content – develop written and visual communications for print, web and social media

3. Interview students, faculty and alumni

4. Create informational videos and photography

5. Assist with event management and execution including event marketing, setup, check-in of attendees, facilitation, cleanup and other duties as assigned

6. Assist with general office support and customer service



Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Experience with Microsoft Office, video editing and photography experience, and social media experience (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok)
