Able to work outside in hot weather and ability to use shovels and soil probes and carry objects of 30-40 lbs.
Shift
Weekdays between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Flexible scheduling during the weekdays.
Job Summary
Process insect samples in the lab using microscope and record data on target insect species from samples, assist grad students with field work to collect insect and plant data in urban trees and golf courses, maintain greenhouse plants, clean and organize lab space, drive to field sites to collect soil samples for later processing and data recording, enter data into excel. This is a spring 2026 position, that may extend into summer 2026 based on performance and availability. Anticipated schedule is 10-15 hours per week and scheduling is flexible based on student schedule.

Ability to drive a field truck and the ability to use a microscope.

Preferred Education/Experience
Experience working in a research lab. Entomology, agriculture, environmental sciences, biology, or related major preferred.
