Position Summary:
In this role you will be responsible for the preparation and assembly of mechanical components.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assembly of various items to meet customer requirements and to support the production schedule
- Examine and inspect component parts, inspect first article produced to ensure conformance
- Verify assembly of parts conforms to drawing(s), to all stated tolerances, and QC requirements
- Communicate effectively with fellow operators, supervisors, engineers, and management personnel within the company
- Accurately process production records, inventory items, and time sheets.
- Process and complete all required QC documentation and records
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of fixtures and tooling
- Accurately fills out production records, inventory, time sheet, test reports, and other documentation
- Ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times
- Responsible for all work areas to kept clean, orderly and safe
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Understanding of basic mechanical assembly.
- Able to properly use and read calipers and tape measures
- Use of hand tools including: saw, grinder, and sander
- Able to perform physically demanding work: standing, bending, and lifting 50 lbs. regularly
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Six (6) months or more of assembly and/or general labor experience preferred
