Position Purpose

The Marketing & Community Engagement Coordinator is a part-time role responsible for supporting brand visibility, coordinating events, managing social presence, and building relationships with community organizations to help grow market share.

Position Type: Part time, Non-Exempt

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

Marketing Support & Brand Presence

  • Create and publish approved digital content for social media.
  • Support development of marketing materials (flyers, banners, promotional items).
  • Maintain brand consistency across all channels.
  • Track content performance and maintain posting calendars.
  • Assist with photography and videography needs.

Community Engagement & Partnerships

  • Build relationships with chambers, trade associations, and community groups.
  • Identify partnership opportunities to increase brand presence.
  • Support sponsorships and community involvement initiatives.

Event Coordination

  • Assist with planning and executing events such as demos, open houses, customer appreciation days, and trade shows.
  • Coordinate logistics including schedules, displays, and branded materials.
  • Manage event invitations, confirmations, and follow-ups.
  • Track event engagement and outcomes.

Sales Support & Lead Coordination

  • Provide marketing support to sales team.
  • Maintain lead lists generated from events and community engagements.
  • Assist with email campaigns and customer communications.

Internal Coordination

  • Maintain organized digital folders of marketing assets and templates.
  • Track marketing expenses and maintain approved budgets.
  • Collaborate with leadership, sales, and operations teams.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to represent Gulf Coast JCB professionally.
  • Basic understanding of marketing and social media platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • High energy, strong work ethic, and passion for community involvement.
  • Event planning or networking experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in marketing, communications, events, or community outreach preferred.
  • Experience in equipment or construction industries is a plus.
