We are proud of our world-class faculty, groundbreaking research and international reputation for excellence in sustainability, community engagement and innovation.Position SummaryThis position is responsible for all aspects of developing a competitive women’s and men’s cross country/track and field program in the Big Sky Conference. This includes, but is not limited to: coaching, recruiting, and retaining student-athletes; managing daily administrative duties of the program; fundraising and public relations; supervising assistants; adhering to all rules and regulations of the university, NCAA, and Big Sky.Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum five years collegiate coaching/club coaching/collegiate competition.
- Demonstrate excellent professional/interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the total welfare of female and male student-athletes.
- Demonstrate a commitment to developing a successful Division I men’s and women’s cross-country I track and field program both academically and athletically.
- Experience coaching both men and women.
- Experience as a head coach, NCAA Division I, coaching at multiple levels, and program building experience preferred.
- Ties to the Northwest and West Coast Junior Colleges preferred.
- A skillset/ability that reflects commitment to student-athlete welfare and development
- Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Create an environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates differences.
- Function and communicate effectively and respectfully within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds.
