The Role
Head of HR Communications

In this role, you will be a member of the Communications Senior Leadership Team and work in close partnership with your peers and their teams as well as the HR Leadership Team and key business partners to meaningfully engage Fidelity’s 85,000 global associates.
The Purpose of Your Role
Leading a team, you’ll collaborate with HR leaders, program teams, and Communications partners to craft and implement internal communication strategies to:
Help Fidelity attract, retain, and grow talent by enhancing the career development and growth opportunities for Fidelity associates and managers across new roles, experiences, and skills.
Connect associates to Fidelity’s talent and performance practices to help them do their best work every day, supporting their development and driving business results.
Ensure Fidelity’s associates understand and are aware of the breadth of benefits and resources provided to ensure the best associate experience.
Ensure our associate communications have one authentic voice and tone that best resonates with associates.
You’ll manage a team of expert communicators aligned to specific HR areas of practice, and in doing so, ensure consistency across the end-to-end communication strategy. The HR, Change, Diversity & Inclusion, and Community Impact Communications teams will report to this role. You’ll have many opportunities to grow, extend your network, and deliver impact as you support efforts across the associate experience – from hire to retire. You’ll need excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
The Expertise You Bring
Bachelor’s degree required, with 10+ years as a communications professional in corporate communications or agency and expertise in internal communications
Proven success building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and business partners
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fluid environment
Strong editing, proofreading, and writing skills
Modern, digital and authentic communicator with the ability to lead, develop and implement the components of multi-faceted communications programs
Experience supporting change management efforts through communications programs

Working across Fidelity to align communications and messaging, as appropriate, with the different business units and enterprise-focused teams
Using data to measure the impact of communications you deliver and making recommendations for improvement
Meeting Fidelity’s high standards, with a strong attention to detail in the areas of accuracy, ethics, legal, and compliance

The Team
You’ll be a member of the Senior Leadership Team for the Communications organization. This team is all about 'thinking and working across Fidelity,' ensuring that we are driving more impactful communications and outcomes to a range of stakeholder audiences, including legislators and regulators, community members, media, industry influencers, and associates. As part of a centralized organization, you will gain a greater sense of what’s important across the enterprise and benefit from opportunities to learn, build new skills, and grow as you craft and deliver impactful communications.
The base salary range for this position is $125,000-258,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
