Essential Duties and Responsibilities/Functions
The head soccer coach is expected to perform the following:
- Coach the college’s student soccer team, to include overall team management, player development and skill progression, and team competition strategy.
- Assist the college Athletic Director with the annual soccer schedule, ordering team supplies and equipment, and supervising team personnel, including assistant coaches and student team managers.
- Attend all soccer contests home and away.
- Using college-owned vehicles, assist as needed in transporting the team to away games/competitions.
- Maintain an accurate annual inventory of all team uniforms and equipment.
- Adhere to the college policies and practices.
- Assist the athletic director in vetting and hiring qualified assistant coaches.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the athletic director.
Qualifications (Skills and Abilities Required)
Previous head coaching experience is preferred, though not required. College coaching experience preferred although not required. U.S. Soccer coaching licenses C, B, A preferred
Working Conditions
- The allotted practice hours are weekdays between 4:30-6:30pm. Saturdays times are dictated by coach.
- Saturday games, No Sunday games unless a specified national event.
- Away contests are scheduled as per the field availability of the opposing conference schools.
- Home contests are late afternoon, evening, and Saturday events.
- Travel requirements- busses/shuttles will be provided as applicable.

Being able to stand for long periods and conduct drills/practices

Coordinate with the Director of Food Services for team away game meals as needed.
