Homeowner Services Coordinator

AmeriCorps National members serve the community in direct service and capacity building activities.

What will you do?
The homeowner services coordinator builds and maintains the pipeline of homeowner families by leading efforts to recruit and educate qualified families for both homeownership and home repair opportunities. This role involves recruiting homeowner family applicants and serving as their point of contact as they go through the application process. Together with a family selection committee, you help select homeowner families for a variety of housing products including new home construction, repair or rehab of existing homes and weatherization projects.

• Coordinate existing programs to recruit homeowner applicants for traditional homeownership opportunities or for expanded housing products such rehab, repair or weather revitalization.
• Conduct applicant orientations and assist families throughout process of completing the housing application.
• Work with the family selection committee to select homeowner families based on established criteria and regulations.
• Work with the family services committee and staff to provide educational opportunities to homeowner families.
• On occasion, build alongside homeowner families as they complete their contract requirements.

This position will focus on homeowner services aspects of Habitat affiliate operations.

Activities and attractions: Pensacola is known for its beautiful white sand beaches and emerald green waters along the Gulf Coast. Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key are popular destinations for swimming, boating, fishing, and water sports. The area is also home to the National Naval Aviation Museum and Naval Air Station Pensacola, where the Blue Angels are based. Downtown Pensacola features historic architecture, local restaurants, art galleries, and community events throughout the year. The city has a rich military and maritime history, with attractions such as Historic Pensacola Village and Fort Pickens. Residents and visitors enjoy outdoor activities year round thanks to the mild climate, including hiking, biking, kayaking, and exploring nearby state parks and nature preserves. Pensacola offers a mix of coastal lifestyle, strong community engagement, and growing economic development, making it an inviting place to live and serve.

Unique projects: This position supports the growth of our homebuyer pipeline across our homeownership tracks, including our new Program + and Pre-Purchase Program. The member coordinates applicant outreach and recruitment, helps conduct orientations, serves as a consistent point of contact for families moving through the application process, and supports homebuyer education and the selection process.

When will you serve?
Start dates are flexible and based on this location’s availability. Talk to the hiring manager for this position about start dates during your interview process. The start date will be 4-6 weeks from receiving an offer and no earlier than September 2026.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident at least 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
