ABOUT THE POSITION
The Human Resources Business Partner plays a critical role in supporting the full-cycle employee experience and day-to-day human resources operations. This individual will have knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and procedures affecting the practice and administration of human resources policies and programs. The Human Resources Business Partner will work collaboratively with HR management to plan, organize, and administer human resources activities that support business goals and objectives.
NORMAL DAY-TO-DAY WORK
- Provide support to employees in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, performance development, compensation, benefits, staff engagement, and employee relations.
- Partner with organization leaders to provide staffing and recruiting support. Continually evaluate team structure and job design while being mindful of headcount forecasting and organizational goals. Identify and implement tactics to select and maintain a diverse workforce.
- Administer employee benefit programs by providing support during open enrollment, life events, and troubleshooting employee benefit questions and concerns.
- Support annual performance management program and merit process. Strengthen formal and informal performance review processes throughout the organization.
- Maintain a strong pulse on employee climate due to issues or trends, while seeing opportunities for improvement. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures for continual improvements in departmental efficiency and provided services.
- Identify and address critical organizational and people issues. Work with management to remove barriers impeding the success of the business. Deliver short-term solutions, while also solving for long-term problems by addressing immediate challenges and underlying issues.
- Communicate on behalf of HR to the organization, ensuring a tailored style based on the audience.
- Mentor HR Coordinators and lead specialized projects as needed. Serve as a strategic partner to HR leadership in evaluating success of current initiatives and recommending methods to drive change for organizational success.
- Assist with employee engagement activities and various HR initiatives that support organizational goals and promote Civic's culture.
- Take ownership for actions, decisions, and results; openly accept feedback and demonstrate both the willingness and ability to improve.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Here are a few skills you MUST have to be qualified for this position.
- Minimum 4 – 6 years' experience in Human Resources.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and knowledge of HRMS systems.
- Familiar with standard Human Resources concepts, practices and procedures.
- Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to function in a Consumer business office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: PC, copier, telephone, etc.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer).
- Travel required on occasion.
