Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include: Mobility to work from several locations depending on business needs; occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 10lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with regular repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally dealing with combative/violent people; and occasional job-related travel.

Shift

Primarily Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, with evening, night, and weekend requirements per departmental needs.

Job Summary

Responsible for executing and supporting the design, development, and optimization of advanced identity and access management solutions that ensure secure and efficient access across the organization. Takes ownership of IAM automation, integration, and optimization initiatives, driving cross-functional collaboration and ensuring best-in-class security posture. Provides mentorship, strategic direction, and serve as the escalation point for complex IAM issues, continuously improving processes, platforms, and team capabilities.

Essential Functions:
• Designs, develops, and maintains enterprise IAM platforms, integrations, and workflows to ensure secure, scalable, and standardized access management.
• Implements automated provisioning, de-provisioning, and entitlement management across clinical, academic, administrative, and research environments.
• Creates applications and tools using C#, SQL, PowerShell, and other languages to optimize IAM processes and support rapid business response.
• Configures, supports, and sets best practices for IAM technologies such as SailPoint to drive continual improvement.
• Serves as an escalation for IAM incidents, providing advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and service restoration.
• Establishes and reviews code standards to ensure team adherence to secure, high-quality development practices.
• Provides technical guidance to peers and junior staff in IAM programming, troubleshooting, and solution implementation.
• Contributes to the planning and deployment of new IAM initiatives such as multi-factor authentication, privileged access, and risk-based controls.
• Prepares and maintains technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and comprehensive documentation for IAM systems.
• Collaborates with cybersecurity, application, and infrastructure teams to align IAM solutions with security and compliance requirements.
• Conducts post-mortem reviews of IAM interruptions and leads service remediation and process improvements.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance IAM process automation, system scalability, and process efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Please note: Effective 7/1/2026, this position will be titled Identity Platform Engineer Senior and will report through Information Technology Services in Beyond Blue.
