Implementation Project Manager

The Implementation Project Manager leads projects of various sizes for our existing Defined Benefit clients and act as the liaison throughout the project duration. Our focus is to lead teams through design, development, and implementation of systems and process solutions to improve client and participant satisfaction.

The Team

As part of the Workplace Investing Client Service Operations organization the Project Manager plays a meaningful role leading a project team and coordinating project efforts with internal business partners such as other groups or products within Implementation, ongoing client service teams, Participant Services, Financial Operations, etc. We also work with external resources, including client staff and third-party vendors.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Related experience in project management

  • Strong knowledge of defined benefit, financial services, and/or retirement administration

  • Effective communicator and collaborate well with internal partners from the business and systems groups and geographically diverse project teams

  • Consultative with clients to understand their needs

  • Organized and able to balance multiple projects at one time

  • Flexible, highly adaptive to change, while also having the ability to take initiative

  • PMP certification, preferred but not required

The Value You Deliver

  • Accurately lead multiple projects for Fidelity’s clients developing realistic, workable plans and timelines with multiple due dates

  • Develop and regularly distribute status reports that monitor the agreed-upon internal and external project tasks and all project components, to ensure that risk is optimally handled

  • Responsible for leading weekly internal and client facing project status meetings

  • Regularly monitor project budgets

  • Ensure complete and timely delivery of project results to successfully transition to the ongoing support teams

  • Communicate clearly and confidently—ask insightful questions, write with precision, and tailor messaging to suit the audience and medium

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
