Position Description:Position Description

Adena Corporation is seeking an experienced Industrial Foreman to lead industrial maintenance crews performing the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment and mechanical systems. The Industrial Foreman will plan and oversee daily maintenance activities, troubleshoot mechanical failures, supervise and work alongside field crews, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule and quality expectations.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead and supervise maintenance mechanics, millwrights, laborers, and other assigned field personnel.
2. Plan, assign, coordinate, and oversee daily maintenance activities.
3. Work directly with plant operators, supervisors, and production personnel to coordinate maintenance needs.
4. Support maintenance activities during scheduled plant shutdowns and outages.
5. Troubleshoot mechanical failures and equipment issues to minimize operational downtime.
6. Perform hands-on installation, maintenance, alignment, repair, and replacement of industrial equipment and components.
7. Perform welding and fabrication as required; stick welding experience preferred, with MIG experience beneficial.
8. Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and other mechanical systems.
9. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment layouts.
10. Coordinate and support preventive maintenance activities and scheduled shutdown work.
11. Ensure crews comply with Adena, customer, and site-specific safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures.
12. Monitor crew productivity, workmanship, and completion of assigned work.
13. Maintain appropriate documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, and completed work.
14. Train, mentor, and provide direction to mechanics, helpers, and less-experienced team members.
15. Communicate job progress, equipment concerns, manpower needs, and potential delays to appropriate leadership.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements: Position Requirements

1. Proven industrial experience as a Millwright, Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, or similar mechanical trade.
2. Previous Foreman, Lead Mechanic, Lead Millwright, or crew leadership experience.
3. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and industrial maintenance skills.
4. Industrial welding and fabrication experience.
5. Experience maintaining and repairing equipment such as conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, hydraulics, and related mechanical systems.
6. Ability to effectively communicate with plant personnel, operators, supervisors, and field crews.
7. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
8. Strong understanding of industrial safety practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).
9. Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and lead crews in an active industrial environment.
10. Must have reliable transportation.
11. Must have appropriate personal hand tools required for the trade.
12. Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and shutdown schedules as project and customer needs require.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds or more.
2. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and work at elevated heights.
3. Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work in physically demanding positions.
4. Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods.
5. Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, and other industrial conditions.
6. Ability to wear required PPE and comply with customer/site-specific safety requirements.
