Why This Role Matters

Every conversation you have helps someone get essential services set up quickly and confidently during a major life transition, whether they're moving into a new home or switching providers. As one of the first people customers interact with, you'll directly influence revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and the overall experience they have with our company from day one.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning inbound opportunities into long-term customers through consultative selling, attentive service, and strong follow-through.

What You'll Do

Drive Inbound Sales Growth

  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries generated through our IVR system, phone channels, and web submissions.
  • Qualify customers and recommend solutions that best fit their needs.
  • Convert opportunities across key customer segments, including move-in/move-out customers, customers switching providers, and new residential customers.
  • Guide customers through the sales process and work toward successful first-call resolutions whenever possible.
  • Consistently achieve individual conversion and revenue targets.

Own the Customer Journey

  • Serve as the primary point of contact from initial inquiry through signed agreement.
  • Create a straightforward, low-friction buying experience that builds customer confidence.
  • Coordinate with local service teams to schedule site visits and installations.
  • Ensure all customer and installation information is complete and accurately documented before handoff.
  • Support a smooth transition to the service team following installation.

Manage Regional Coverage

  • Support inbound sales activity across multiple service centers within your assigned region.
  • Adjust priorities as call volume fluctuates due to seasonal demand and business needs.
  • Stay current on product offerings, pricing updates, and promotional programs.

Maintain CRM Accuracy and Performance Visibility

  • Record customer interactions, lead outcomes, and sales activities in Salesforce.
  • Monitor personal performance metrics and identify trends affecting conversion rates.
  • Participate in coaching sessions, team meetings, and ongoing skill development.

Must Have

  • 2+ years of inside sales, inbound sales, or customer-facing sales experience.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales goals in a phone-based sales environment.
  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform to manage customer interactions and sales activity.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer conversations while maintaining accuracy, organization, and follow-through.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in residential services, utilities, energy, home services, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with IVR-routed inbound sales environments.
  • Experience coordinating schedules, installations, or service delivery across multiple teams.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience handling customer objections and using a consultative sales approach.

What You'll Actually Do in Your First 30 Days

  • Complete onboarding and product training to become proficient in our residential offerings, pricing, promotions, and sales process.
  • Learn our inbound lead workflow, IVR routing process, Salesforce CRM, and installation scheduling procedures.
  • Begin handling inbound customer inquiries with coaching support while building confidence in qualification, objection handling, and closing conversations.
  • Establish a consistent process for documenting customer interactions, coordinating installations, and handing off completed sales to operations teams.

What Success Looks Like After 90 Days

  • Independently manage a full pipeline of inbound phone and web-generated leads.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established conversion rate targets.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records and handoff documentation that enables smooth, on-time installations.
