Summary of Position

The intern will assist with and learn entertainment focused market research, analyze digital metrics and conversation across various social media platforms, and track and interpret large sets of data that impact key decisions for film campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the fundamentals of how research and digital insights are used throughout the motion picture industry and specifically for theatrical marketing campaigns
  • Learn to write queries, build dashboards, monitor social reactions and conversation around film asset drops, and creating visualizations for these findings
  • Learn and assist in all phases of a research project including survey design and questionnaire development, data analysis, and report writing and data storytelling
  • Contribute to continual maintenance of internal databases and monitoring of ever-changing industry trends
  • Complete a landscape analysis of chosen entertainment research topic utilizing desk research, survey metrics, and digital tracking tools

Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Statistics, Marketing, Media Studies, Analytics or any related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Critical thinker enthusiastic about learning and providing new ideas
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis and visualization using Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Interest in quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Interest in writing Boolean queries and social listening platforms (e.g. Talkwalker, Netbase, Sprinklr or Meltwater)
  • Genuine interest in the entertainment industry

Program Dates: Tuesday, June 9th – Thursday, August 13th, 2026 (10 Weeks)

Details

  • Interns must not work more than 40 hours per week
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Interns must be current rising juniors through recent grads (within 6 months of internship start date)
  • Graduate students are eligible to apply
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
  • Most internship positions will require working 4 days in office

Compensation
