Overview

Position: I-Prod Design Center Engineering Co-op (Spring/Summer 2027)

Location: Seneca Falls, NY

Major: Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar

Academic Schedule: Summer/Fall 2026 rotation, full-time, 40 hours per week. Must be available January to August 2027.

About the Experience: Our ITT Goulds Pumps co-op candidates have the unique opportunity to work for one of the most recognizable pump brands in the world. They will obtain firsthand experience in the design and manufacture of engineered to order, high specification industrial pumps and monitoring equipment. Our top mechanical engineering and design professionals will offer guidance and mentorship for each candidate.



Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll assist with a variety of technical and project-based tasks related to product maintenance and product development, including:

  • Participate in pump design that includes mechanical design calculations and FEA.
  • Work in our R&D Test Lab to assist with the assembly and disassembly of pumps, supporting various testing and development activities.
  • Plotting and analyzing test data
  • Analyze inspection reports and perform scan comparisons of cast/machined parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Generate new and update existing pump curves
  • Updating product models and drawings
  • Preparing technical documentation, as needed


Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Candidate must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering/mechanical engineering technology or similar
  • Candidate must have completed 2 years of related college coursework
  • MS Office and 3D modeling experience required
  • FEA experience is preferred
