Job Description:
The Role
The IT Project Manager role is aligned to product development teams and partners with product leadership to manage the delivery of team objectives and deliver the vision of the product. This role is responsible for coordinating efforts across multiple teams to deliver seamless solutions and are responsible for improving the overall effectiveness of delivery for the team. The Project Delivery Manager advises and coaches others on Delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.) while simultaneously coordinating impediment, risks, cross-product interdependencies and release management.
The Skills And Expertise You Bring
4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent
PMP, ACP or CSM preferred
2-5 years of experience as a SM, Project Manager or similar type role

Keeps abreast with trends, developments, and technologies within the field of Information Technology, locally and internationally.
Manage relationships, navigate team dynamics, and understand customer emotions, which helps in making empathetic, user-centered decisions.
Facilitating - Manages and generates group discussions or meetings. Encourages people to take part and work together more effectively.
Understands the various agile and project frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, SCRUM, Lean, Six Sigma, Waterfall, Kanban, etc.) and applies the appropriate framework/methodology for the situation.
Release Planning and Forecasting.
Understands different change models and how to put in place successful organizational, system, or employee change programs.

Leads prioritization sessions for the product using fit-for-purpose prioritization techniques connected to the business strategy to visualize the work, manage dependencies and support prioritization of initiatives
Partner with delivery leadership (product and technology) to develop short and long-term plans for delivery teams aligned with annual and quarterly commitments
Leads prioritization, ensure planning effectiveness, detailed plans, schedules, assignments and dependencies
Leads release planning sessions utilizing relative estimation and forecasting techniques
Identify, define and lead dependency management, inclusive of resolving
Leads ongoing backlog refinement sessions, ensures a well-refined prioritized backlog, supporting effective delivery, continuous planning and management of dependencies
Engage appropriately for release success by coordinating and supporting releases with client-facing business leaders as they drive client awareness and product engagement.
Monitor work in progress, minimize context switching to ensure teams maintain focus and finish
Facilitate trade off discussions using empirical delivery data for project/program progress
Identify, measure and implement team delivery processes for predictable value delivery.
Manage multi-team coordinated end-to-end product delivery across organization, applying scaling practices, processes and routines as needed
Implement process and flow optimization practices to identify inefficiencies, advise on improvement, and identify updates to product strategy based on the lifecycle stage of the product
Mentor and coach product members in all aspects of delivery effectiveness, inclusive of the importance of good data hygiene practices
Facilitate group dynamics to resolve conflict and develop trusted partnerships

You will support one or more cross-functional delivery team engaging with all team members and the Product Leader to reinforce and embed an agile approach and principles into the day-to-day work. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you will evolve and sustain an innovative agile culture The squad(s) are in the IWMS Platform Operations & Reporting product area.

Program/Project ManagementMost roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
