The Role
The IT Project Manager is aligned with one or more product development teams and partners with product leadership to manage the delivery of the product vision. This role is responsible for coordinating efforts across multiple teams to deliver seamless solutions while improving the overall effectiveness of the team’s delivery practices. The IT Project Manager advises and coaches others on delivery methodologies while simultaneously coordinating and managing impediments, risks, cross-product interdependencies and release management.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
- Drive customer-centric delivery by integrating feedback into product strategies and aligning initiatives with business objectives.
- Facilitate prioritization, backlog refinement, and release planning using fit-for-purpose techniques while managing dependencies, risks, and resource capacity.
- Partner with product and technology leaders to develop short- and long-term delivery plans, monitor progress against achievements, and ensure transparency through stakeholder communication and reporting.
- Promote continuous improvement and process optimization, leveraging delivery metrics and historic trends to forecast timelines and enhance predictability.
- Coordinate multi-team, end-to-end product delivery across scaled environments, ensuring quality standards, data integrity, and alignment to enterprise processes.
- Champion collaboration and shared accountability across teams to achieve committed goals, maintain focus, and deliver measurable business value.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 4-year bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience working as Scrum Master or IT Project Manager.
- Jira experience required.
- Financial services industry experience preferred.
- Delivery Expertise – Applies frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and Waterfall to plan, organize, and deliver projects effectively.
- Prioritization & Planning – Defines clear objectives, manages capacity, and organizes resources to meet deadlines and milestones.
- Acceptance Criteria & Quality Control – Establishes measurable criteria for work items and ensures consistency to quality standards throughout delivery.
- Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration – Builds strong relationships, manages expectations, and facilitates alignment across teams and business units.
- Coaching & Facilitation – Guides teams toward higher performance, leads workshops, and fosters productive discussions to achieve common goals.
- Conflict Resolution & Influencing – Resolves complex disagreements diplomatically and gains consensus for ideas and solutions.
- Data-Driven Decision Making – Leverages KPIs, metrics, and historic trends for forecasting, performance measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Risk & Dependency Management – Identifies, tracks, and mitigates risks and interdependencies to ensure smooth delivery.
- Customer-Centric Mindset – Understands customer needs and integrates feedback into product strategies to maximize value.
- Change & Continuous Improvement – Implements change management practices and drives process optimization for better outcomes.
The Team
You will support one or more cross-functional product development teams, engaging with all team members and the product leadership to reinforce and embed an agile approach and principles into the day-to-day work. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you will evolve and sustain an innovative culture, driving product delivery. As part of the Corporate Services Technology organization, you will support the Compliance Technology: Surveillance & Data Technology product area, optimizing product and services delivery.
Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
