Job Synopsis
The Knowledge Management & Process Improvement Specialist will enhance International Program efficiency by organizing and curating resources, improving internal communication, and optimizing operational processes for a diverse, multi-lingual staff. This role manages knowledge/resources, develops accessible materials as requested, streamlines workflows where needed, and supports change management across teams to foster effective information-sharing.Due to the international context of this role, meetings may occasionally fall outside of the standard workday to accommodate other colleagues.

- Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, communications, information management or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in knowledge management, process improvement, internal communications, resource design, or related field.
- Ability to structure and present materials in ways that are coherent, accessible, and optimized for multilingual audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to assess workflows and recommend improvements.
- Experience in a multi-lingual, cross-cultural work environment; NGO or international development experience preferred.
- Proficiency in collaboration tools, especially SharePoint, Teams, and document management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to design visually clear, branded, and engaging resources (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools).
- Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across cultures and departments.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
- Proficiency in a second language, especially where it overlaps with the organization’s operational languages.
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci)
- Knowledge management/process improvement certification (e.g., Six Sigma)

Focal Point: Support the implementation of MCC’s safeguarding policies and procedures. Act as a main point of contact for safeguarding concerns and support colleagues and partners to understand, monitor, and manage safeguarding risks.
Key Responsibilities
Specific Tasks and Duties:Knowledge Management, Communication & Design – 50%
- Curate, organize, and maintain up-to-date resources on Omnia (intranet), SharePoint, and Teams to ensure accessibility and ease of use for IP staff in multiple languages.
- Design clear, visually appealing, and culturally relevant layouts for resources, tools, and guidance materials, ensuring alignment with organizational branding.
- Collaborate with content owners to ensure information is current, accurate, coherent, and visually optimized.
- Streamline internal International Program (IP) communication by improving the structure, clarity, and accessibility of materials.
- Promote adoption and effective use of knowledge management tools through training, guidance, and user support.
- Analyze operational workflows within IP to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Recommend and, with approval, implement process enhancements to improve coordination.
- Facilitate cross-department working groups on behalf of IP to design, document, and standardize operational processes as needed.
- Support change management efforts by communicating proposed changes, facilitating feedback, and ensuring smooth adoption.
- As necessary, coordinate cross-department projects related to knowledge sharing, resource design, or process improvement.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and learning across geographically dispersed teams.
- Provide training and support to staff on knowledge management systems, process changes, and resource design principles.
- Procure and manage pool of consultant interpreters/translators on behalf of IP.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvements and adjust as needed.
- Stay informed on best practices in knowledge management, change management, design for multilingual contexts, and process improvement.
- Undertake additional time-bound projects as assigned to meet evolving organizational needs.
Other duties as assigned on a temporary basis.

Willingness to travel up to 10% internationally to build relationships, gather input, and understand operational contexts.

Environment Conditions – occasionally exposed to high and low temperatures or other adverse environmental conditions while traveling.
Location Description
This position is open to being based in the US in Akron, PA or in Canada in Winnipeg, MB. It can be hybrid in these locations or remote in the U.S. (in U.S. States where MCC is registered) or in Canada.Salary range
