Job Title – Lead - MQ Systems Programmer
The Purpose of This Role
Provide technical and systems support to Mainframe MQ systems. Work with senior level business and technology partners to define and implement MQ solutions. The person will be responsible in deploying RSU maintenance and MQ systems upgrade.

The Mainframe MQ group provides a variety of services related to MQ on z/OS systems at Fidelity. Those services might include but are not necessarily limited to:
Design operational and transactional MQ solutions that meet the functional and non- functional business requirements.
Interface with Technology Operations and infrastructure groups to plan and manage changes in the production environment
Analyze complex MQ/Systems problems and implement solutions and/or workarounds
Project coordination and planning
Evaluation and recommendation of software products in MQ
As a MQ Systems programmer, install, maintain, and provide 24X7 support for MQ z/OS and other related products
Participate in periodic Disaster Recovery tests
Participates in the evaluation, selection, and piloting of new technologies
Work with a wide range of teams across various issues, locations, and time zones
Provide cross training to peers in the MQ Support group
Work closely with other departments within Fidelity and act as interface between the MQ group and the other technical teams coordinating their upgrades/projects/deliverables
The Skills that are Key to this role
Technical / Behavioral
Provide support on MQ z/OS System Adminstation for customers.
Upgrade and Production Support of various IBM Websphere products.
Installation,Customization & Maintenance of various Websphere products like Mainframe MQ ,WAS,WODM and Liberty.
Participate and performe successful DR test which includes Production QMGRS.
Working knowledge of MQ Queue sharing Group and MQ clustering as per the requirement of business
Set up new MQ Region from scratch based on the requirement of business
Setup new WebSphere MQ objects such as: queues (local, remote, alias & model) process definitions, channels and listeners
Involve in different MQ , WAS z/OS related projects and work with the business call to envisage technical support responsibilities. Participate in meeting with the customers and PMOs on status calls.
Work knowledge on MQ monitoring tool like CA sysview product.
Working knowledge with mainframe security access product like TopSecrate ( TSS ).
Day – to – Day support for problem determination and resolution of IBM Websphre MQ system software related to incident and problem tickets raised by customer or other technical teams.
Provide support for production MQ QMGRS and managing on the mainframe systems. Which includes MQ backup, Weekend support.
Support Change management process for satisfying the requirement of Business which includes IBM Websphere on Z/oS upgrade, RSU maintenance updates etc.
Coordinate with MQ related activities with other technical teams like Storage,Security,Performance,CICS,DB2,MVS for etc to satisfy the requirement of business
Check with vendors for various IBM Websphere mainframe products to get the resolution for product related issues,getting SSL related information etc.
Working knowledge of MQ clusters/channels and experience in a sysplex environment.
