We are seeking a technically adept and proactive Lead Production Support Engineer to join our Fidelity Health Benefits Platform (FHB) team within Workplace Investing (WI). This role is critical to ensuring the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of our production systems. The Skills that are Key to this role
You should have experience in supporting enterprise-grade software systems, with a consistent record of resolving complex production issues, improving operational processes, and mentoring junior engineers. You are expected to lead incident response efforts, collaborate across teams, and provide long-term stability and scalability of the platform.
Advanced Java & Spring Boot: Deep understanding of Java-based applications, including performance tuning, memory management, and debugging distributed services
SQL & PostgreSQL: Proficient in writing complex queries, analyzing query plans, and resolving database performance issues
Linux Command Line: Strong command line skills in Linux environment
Azure: Hands-on experience in deploying and monitoring applications in Azure
Monitoring & Alerts: Design and maintain dashboards, respond to issues and deliver on agreed SLOs
CI/CD & DevOps: Improve CI/CD pipelines, shift left practices and support release processes
Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex problems and identify root causes
Security & Compliance: Implement and advocate secure development and support practices
Communicate clearly and effectively, especially during incident response, to keep partners informed.
Incident Management: Triage incoming incidents, perform initial diagnosis, and lead issue response and drive root cause analysis and postmortem documentation
The Skills that are Good to Have for this role
Exposure to Health Care Benefits Administration platform or US Healthcare Payor domains is a strong plus
Experience working in mature product environments, dealing with tech debt, and long-term support cycles.

The Expertise we’re looking for
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems with 4 to 8 years of experience
Proficiency in Java, REST API, Spring Framework, SQL is a must
Experience with enterprise grade distributed application and support
Location: Bangalore
Shift timings: 11:00am - 8:00pm
